There is no drums, nor soapy music for my bio. I am a down-to-earth, hard-working single (separated) mother of a fantastic son. I used to be extremely fit and active: I played rugby for 5 seasons in England and Canada, used to be in a "friendly" water-polo team and swimmed 100 laps every other day and would cycle to go to and from work (64 daily clicks). I was searching for a BEFORE picture. I don't have ANY pictures of me from 2002-2005, as this is the period I let myself go after my separation. I became an emotional eater but I am pleased to say that after a whole year of working on myself, I no longer see food as comfort but as a fuel. It's the P90X diet that opened my eyes.
My original motivation was rather vain: I wanted to look good. But then, when I think of it, many adjacent reasons pop into my mind. Yes, I want to look good, but when I look good, my self-esteem is higher, I am more confident, I smile more and therefore I am a nicer person. Looking good is one thing; feeling good is the key!
My BB journey has taken me on the road to knowledge: knowing my food, my fitness and rediscovering "me" again. I want to lead by example: I want to show my son that couch potatoeing is not the way to be. I want to take him out cycling, hiking, swimming and snow shoeing and I was unfit to do so prior to BB.
Now, I am OK to wear a (one-piece) swimsuit - though I will go quickly "hide" into the water... but still I am teaching my son how nice an active lifestyle is and all the benefits we get from it!
I have entered the United Colors Agent Xers Challenge starting January 1. I am on the Pink team; and I take this very seriously. I'll let you know by March 31, 2007 how I have done. Funny enough, I have bought a property and I will take possession of my "new" century old farmhouse the very next day! That will keep me busy!

I have met fantastic people on the forum threads, I can't wait to have proper internet at home to be able to WOWY, and I am taking the January 1st 2007 United Colors Agent Xers Challenge!!! I want to reach my 100 pounds goal by my next birthday!
