I'm Debi. As you can tell from my accent I am English!! (but live in the US.) I needed to reclaim my body! I am just an average person, who was the standard US average size 12/14, and I wanted and still want to be healthier than that.
I had practically given up ever being lean and toned again because I have several food allergies and issues with limiting calories. Large Hellooooo
I'm Debi. As you can tell from my accent I am English!! (but live in the US.) I needed to reclaim my body! I am just an average person, who was the standard US average size 12/14, and I wanted and still want to be healthier than that.
I had practically given up ever being lean and toned again because I have several food allergies and issues with limiting calories. Large amounts of "traditional" healthy diet foods are not an option for me. Even with regular exercise (I swim 3 miles a week in 2 45 minute sessions, work out with a beach body program 5 times a week, bike and do karate 2 times a week) my metabolism is sluggish to say the least -there are snails out there charging past my metabolism!!
I decided not to whine about it, this is my reality and this just means I have to work harder to sneak around the "issues". I started with the 10 minute trainer, and have since completed a round of Chalean Extreme. Got sidelined by shoulder surgery, but I am back now and going for round 2 of Chalean. As my body is a bit of a rebel ( Ilose inches but seldom lbs) my goals are fitness and strength, as opposed to a size or a weight. In fact I am the CHAMPION of DONT weigh yourself, just go by inches and fat calipers for your success. It is a MUCH less depressing way to measure your success!
I am hoping to find other people to run this race with me. I am on my way with the Beach Body programs and foods, if you want to join me, come along!!! JUST KEEP TRYING. FIGHT THE FLAB! If you have trouble losing weight, I have BEEN there, I am still there! I MORE THAN GET IT, I live it every day! But I decide I am NOT going to let what I cant do, stop what I CAN DO!!! I can get stronger, I can get healthier, I can get leaner, I can get more toned, and while I havent seen the results on my scale ( evil machine!! LOL) My blood pressure is VERY good, my body fat is decreasing, my resting heart rate is lower, my SIZE is down by 26 inches since I started!
I can!!! So can you!

The story so far.... I am heavy, I have always been heavy, but when I hit the full term pregnancy weight MINUS a baby. I had to take back my life. Even when I was a gymnast, 20 years ago, and had 13% body fat was still 140lbs. For whatever reason, I am just heavy and the scales move VERY slowly for me. So I knew that I couldnt judge my success on the scales, because no matter how much I exercise, they just dont move much. So I am going to levels of health and inches lost. In THIRTY DAYS I lost 10.5 INCHES all over doing JUST 10 MINUTES a DAY!!! I am not stacking workouts YET (that comes this time around!). Literally in 10 minutes a day I lost 10.5 inches. For all you people out there who are in the same SLOOOOOOW to move on the scales boat with me, i say FORGET the scales, and LOOOK at the inches!!! Stay tuned as the journey continues!!! :)
