First things first -- I want to tell you the sweetest part of my story – I weigh less than I have in SIX YEARS! And, in the words of Molly Richards (one of the cast members of TurboFire), “It’s all because of TurboFire!”

Now, back to the beginning…

I'm the person whose weight can fluctuate 5 lbs. in one day, and I don't know that I've ever been so full that I couldn't eat another bite. In high school, I was a cheerleader, enjoyed running, and did Tae Bo and Beachbody's Great Abs Guaranteed. Then, when I was 19, I gained 40 lbs. in about a year. I kept that on, and when I was 22, I gained another 20 lbs. Throughout the next two years, I ordered Power 90, Slim in 6, Turbo Jam, and Hip Hop Abs. I never fully committed to any of them, and honestly felt so overwhelmed at all of the weight I needed to lose, that I usually just went about my day and couldn't bring myself to commit to any of those FANTASTIC programs!

At 24 yrs. old and 220 lbs., I was nearing completion of my Bachelor of Science in Psychology and knew the "little" changes I tried "here-and-there" weren't working. I committed to Turbo Jam and cut out soda and junk food, and lost 15 lbs. in just 6 wks.

For the next 2 years I maintained my weight; I worked out a few days a week without much of an actual schedule, and rarely monitored my eating. I focused on work--counseling adolescents with substance addictions, working over 60 hours/wk, on-call, etc--and would sometimes work off 10 lbs., put on 5, work off 5, etc.

On August 29, 2009, at 195 lbs., I married my *wonderful* husband. I was finally under 200, feeling great, and hoping to really reach my goal weight "this time." After an awesome honeymoon in San Diego (everyone should go there!), my husband bought me ChaLEAN Extreme. Again, a few days a week, without much of a committed schedule and without focusing on my diet, I toned up a bit, but didn't train hard enough to lose the pounds. Over the next 10 months, I would get all "geared up" and create an Excel spreadsheet where I planned to document everything I ate, wrote out strict workout plans, tried to double-up workouts on some days, and ended up doing nothing but totally overwhelming myself and usually quitting after a week or two. Even after receiving a heart rate monitor for my birthday, I ran (okay...walked/jogged) at the school track. I LOVED being able to actually SEE my calorie burn on the HRM, but still didn't find it within myself to work hard enough to see a marked weight loss.

Finally, I decided to scrap everything. June 23rd, 2010, I weighed myself and committed to weighing on Wednesdays. I decided to work out 5 days a week because my husband and I spent our summer weekends with family and fishing. I also committed to eating healthy meals, but allowed myself to eat the occasional craved item, as long as I stayed within 1200-1500 calories per day, and ate every few hours. For my workout, I pulled out Turbo Jam. I knew I had loved it in the past and would enjoy doing it. I knew I had to focus on simplicity, so I didn't even take "before" pictures. (The ones I have posted are from a previous, failed, attempt.)

One week later, I lost 4 lbs. After week 2, I lost another 2 lbs. And that loss continued, week-by-week, 2 lbs. a week, throughout my entire journey.

One awesome thing I forgot to mention... On July 20th, around week 4, a box showed up at my house. My grandmother surprised me with TurboFire!!! I started it the NEXT day and completely fell in love! Five months of TurboFire melted 40 lbs. off my body, and I don't know that I've ever been more grateful for anything (aside from my husband and family) in my life! **Update: I've lost a total of 58 lbs., 50" with TurboFire!**

Thank you, Chalene Johnson and Beachbody! I cannot say it enough!

I now do TurboFire daily--rest days are important and still consist of a good stretch!--I am completely addicted! I still have inches to lose now that the scale has slowed and I plan to keep "going to class" with the rest of the TF Cast. **Update: I actually got to BE IN CLASS as a TF Cast member!!! DVDs and infomercial releasing March/April 2012!**

From my highest weight of 220, to my current weight of 147 lbs., life could not get any better! Please let me know if there is any way I can help you reach your goals. ANYONE can do this! Just get started! Two pounds a week, and before you know it, you're there, and you don't even know what happened. Suddenly, everything just clicks. =)
