I competed in division I tennis in college, but the loose grip I had on my weight came unhinged when I quit the team my senior year and got up to an all-time high of 220.

Over the years I whittled it down, battled and recovered from bulimia, and basically got to this sort of 20 lb range (160-180) where I have been for like 7 years.
I started training for triathlons and even wrote a blog about my quest to lose weight while competing (theatheanaproject.wordpress.com). Well in 2 years of documenting and beating my head against a wall, I was utterly unsuccessful in reaching my weight loss goals. Kind of embarrassing!!! So I'm going to more quietly take this a day at a time and see where 90 days takes me...eating right, ShakeShakeShakeologying, and Pressing Play...Game On!

It's easier than you think to eat back the calories after an 8 hour bike ride or 3 hour run. Sure, I did multiple Olympic tris, 2 half-ironman races, and a full ironman race...but at the end of the day, my body has never performed where it should and I have not leaned out as expected.
So 9/4/12 -- the day I started p90X. I have my brother texting me daily as we are going through it together (he's done it before). I'm at m highest weight in probably 8 years, and ready to knock it down+.
One thing I know about my body -- I put on muscle, and I'm probably NOT made to endurance race. So here we gooooo!!! P90X + Shakeology and some determination and I'm hopeful and excited to see what can happen.
Also of note, I found out on Day 1 of this program that my mother's breast cancer has spread to her lungs and liver. I'm an emotional mess, but determined to push through this program and take care of myself to the best of my ability.
