I am 42 years old, 5'8, weigh 170 pounds and am married with two kids ( son is almost 3 & a daughter who is 8) . After basically ignoring any significant exercise for a for the past five years or so, I have decided that I because I feel so terrible that I want to start to get myself in shape and the buid muscle in particular. I saw the P90X infomercials on TV many times and decided in January 2009 to give it a try. I received the package in mid January but it took me quite some time to get myself organized with getting the proper equipment, such as the "chin-up" bar , the resistance bands, and to get some of the supplements and do the reading in the booklet about the nutrition plan and then try and pass the fit test. I was doing the fit test over and over for a week or so until I felt like I was ready. I am still not sure that I passed the fit test "with flying colors" but it was close enough. It wasn't until Valentine's Day that actually started Day One on P90x. To find the time to exercise with work and kids I forced myself to get up at 5AM and do my workout before going to work.
