I am a 38 year old single mom. I danced and swam through college. Got fit again in 2003, and kept it up until about a year ago. A recent challenge made me re-think how I was treating my body, and I decided it was time to get fit again.

I started this journey at 233 pounds, which at 61 inches is obese. It was slow at first since I really hadn't worked out in awhile, and I made small changes to my diet. By the end of December 2010, I had completed 2 rounds of Body Gospel, and lost almost 20 pounds. I was feeling so good that I entered the Million Dollar Body contest, and made it to the semi-finals! I have upped my workouts to include Turbo Jam and Jazzercise, and as of May 1st have lost 30 pounds and gone down 2 full sizes & am well on my way to that third size. I can even do 10 girly push ups when I couldn't beofre! I feel awesome!
