I've been active my whole life. As a kid I played team sports year round. In high school I played football & ran track. I was recruited out of HS to play football. I was an All-State wide receiver. I didn't end up playing football in college, but when I got into college I picked up the sport of rugby. I played for the Kansas City Blues for 10 years. So up until 10 years ago I was always involved with a team. It was fairly easy to stay in shape--just show up at practice & go to the gym. It wasn't hard to stay motivated. Then I retired from rugby & started putting on the lbs.. My motivation was gone, and I quickly got out of shape.
Since then I have gotten into & out of the gym on a regular basis. I get off to a good start, then inevitably I quit. I continually tell myself that I'll start back up, but never get serious about it. I work around a lot of young, fit guys & my desire is to try to get like them.
When I graduated HS I weighed 155 lbs., I now weigh 218. I want to get fit so I can do my job to the best of my ability & be active with my kids. I'm in very good health, but I want to get into supreme shape. That is why I am here. I am hopeful that I can finally stick to something for life.
My grandfather is 88 years old & he worked out practically every day for 32 years. He is certain that the reason he is still around is becauce of that fact. It is now time for me to get started.
