I've been blessed with what I NEED. I believe setting a good example for my children is a lasting gift. I hope that along with the history, grammar, math and science, my children learn resourcefulness, solid values and healthy eating and exercise habits. As a parent, I look at these issues as my responsibility to share by example and through 'teachable moments".

In the Fall of 2006, I was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer. My thyroid was removed and I had radioactive iodine treatment by February of '07. In 2008 I found out the cancer had returned in lymph nodes More ...
In the Fall of 2006, I was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer. My thyroid was removed and I had radioactive iodine treatment by February of '07. In 2008 I found out the cancer had returned in lymph nodes in my neck. After undergoing another surgery and another round of radioactive iodine in January of 2009, I learned that the cancer is as stubborn as me. In February of 2010, I will undergo more biopsies to locate the cancer. Over the last few years, I've learned how important it is to realize that as far as limitations and restrictions, those are truly self-generated. Once people learn to stop holding themselves back, greater masses will be accomplishing whatever they set their will on.
