My story isn't really a "physical" transformation but rather a personal one. Making the decision to be an psuedo-elite athlete came about 9 years ago. I decided on a revelation in the woods that I would try my first triathlon. My sole goal was to complete an olympic distance. After spending a summer training and learning how to swim--as opposed to the sinking I previously did--I did complete one. But that was just the start. After finishing, I had so much personal strength, energy, and confidence. . . I went home and signed up for 4 more that day. And it forever changed my life.
