West Seneca, NY I have always been interested in sports and physical fitness; however never focused on it. After gaining quite a bit of weight through my college years and beginning my career in restaurants, I lost all interest in being physically active. An exrtremely unhealthy diet and lifetyle led me to being lethargic, severely overweight and addicted to caffeine. Then in 2005 my life changed FOREVER- I broke I have always been interested in sports and physical fitness; however never focused on it. After gaining quite a bit of weight through my college years and beginning my career in restaurants, I lost all interest in being physically active. An exrtremely unhealthy diet and lifetyle led me to being lethargic, severely overweight and addicted to caffeine. Then in 2005 my life changed FOREVER- I broke my back!! I had to have a "posterior lumbar interbody fusion", and now have vertebrae in my lower back fused together, and held together with screws and rods. I was forced to make massive changes in my life; had to learn to walk and drive again, and 4 months of grueling physical therapy helped me regain my life. I decided to move back to Buffalo, NY to be with my family to rebuild my life once the doctors cleared me to travel. I began working again, and felt "normal", then I reunited with my high school sweetheart and we got married in 2007! I also became very comfortable with my life, and my eating, sleeping and exercise habits were horrible! By 2010, I had exceeded the weight I was when I broke my back, and topped the scales at 296 pounds. Running around the back yard with my son was a chore; I was winded just pushing him on the swings or walking up the steps to our apartment. It was TIME TO CHANGE. I joined a gym, and started moving again, started to get my cardio in check and build some stamina. I quit drinking soda, (I drank at least a 2 liter a day of Mountain Dew for 15+ years) and tried to eat healthier. I was doing alright, but still wasn't motivated. I turned on QVC one night, and there was the man, Tony Horton! I was glued to the television, and watching the 60 year old host of the show do plyo push ups with Tony got me pumped! I told my wife I wanted it; she said I could get it but if I didn't use it she'd sell it and buy herself whatever she wanted with the money! When it came in the mail a few days later, I was ecstatic- and I couldn''t wait to PUSH PLAY! I did, almost every day, for the whole program. It was hard for me at times, because I work insane hours as a restaurant manager, have a young family and am a full time student but I was tired of making excuses and had to become a better husband, father and person and be the role model my family needs me to be! I made the time, pushed play and made it happen! After completing P90x, I had lost 45lbs, gained a ton of confidence, and was honestly in the best shape of my life! I have continued to incorporate P90x with bodybuilding, and recently started Insanity- and I LOVE IT! I am now down 60 lbs, 3 pant sizes, and for the first time since I was a freshman in high school (20 long years ago!!) I am wearing an XL shirt! Speaking with my Beachbody coach Ted Gore, I knew that I wanted to help others achieve even better results then I did, and he encouraged me to become a coach! I am super excited about this opportunity; to help others achieve their goals and even better results than me. I look forward to meeting with you, working with you, and CHANGING OUR LIVES together!

I started P90x last year in October, weighed in at 294 when I started. Since I began my fitness journey, I have lost 60lbs, 5% in body fat and most importantly feel better then I ever have! I broke my back 6 years ago, and began living extremely unhealthy and gained so much weight; now being married and having 2 amazing kids I realized I needed to change. These numbers don't look great yet- but they are so much better then what they were- and I CAN'T WAIT to see what they are going to be! I started Insanity yesterday, and afterwards will be doing a P90x/ Insanity hybrid. I am in love with my new lifestyle and thrilled for my future!
