I am in the Army(19 years) and work in a hospital. I have been in pretty good shape most of my life. Grew up in a small Missouri town. Played sports all year round, voted most athletic in my high school class. Off to college, the sports kind of slowed down, played some intramurals, but something was missing in the area of team and just physical activity. So I joined the Army Reserves. I got back into shape going to basic training. I joined ROTC upon returning to college. In ROTC we worked out every day(M-F), did aerobics and tae kwon do. I have no idea what my body fat was, but had to be fairly low. I was 5'10 and weighted 164.
I have got to jump out of planes and "see the world". At one point, I was 178 with 8% body fat, July 2001. I was tested in a health & wellness clinic every month. I deployed to Iraq in early 2003. I lost 20 lbs while deployed, but put those back on within 6 months and not in a good way. Then it was off to graduate school. Actually a condensed special program Grad School for the Army. 2 years of didactics in 1 year. Essentially it was classes for 7 hours a day (30 minute lunch). I fell into bad bad habits. Snacking all day, sucking down energy drinks and eating quick meals(wings and pizza) from the food court. Then for my physical fitness test in the Army, I got taped for the first time(which means I was overweight for my height and had to be taped for bodyfat). My max I could weigh was 194. I was under the body fat tape test only by a percentage. This was the eye opener I needed.

I am 5'11" and was 201 at my heaviest while I was in grad school through August 2008. I had actually ordered P90X in mid 2006. I never really committed and only did the workouts here and there. Then I moved to South Carolina. I met a friend who was asking if I ever heard of P90X. I said yea, I got it. So we started the program together. We started in Aug 08. I did real well the first 30 days. Lost 9 pounds and some bodyfat. Then I went over to the Philippines to bring my wife back to the states and the X took a back seat. Basically took 3.5 months to finish the last 2 months of the program. I bought the PLUS and have been doing those workouts through December.
On 7 January, my friend and I started a TRUE round of the X.
Round is complete. I am thrilled from my results. 12 pounds and 6% body fat lost since January. 20 pounds and 10%BF since August 08.
May 09. Doing a Hybrid of P90X, PLUS and One on One. Down a couple of pounds for the first 30 days.
July 09. Finishing my hybrid 90 days. Lost a little in the last 40 ddays. Visits from family and ffamily vacations seem to disturb the cycle a little bit. I am currently at 183lbs and around 14%BF. INSANITY will be starting in July. I plan on Bringing it every day possible.
