I have always been athletic my whole life. With a wife and 3 kids at home you seem to lose your personal time. Pretty soon you get so busy with life that you take shortcuts with workouts and eating. You start to get lazy and gain that extra weight. I made excusses like "I'm just getting older, I don't have the time." I was always tired and setting a bad example for my kids. Things needed to change! I started at the local gym, making time to workout before I went to work. After 1 year I felt better and had lost about 20 pounds. I injured my knee and was not able to workout for 4-5 months. Started to feel that I was lossing all that I had gained. So I decided to get back at it again. This time turning to Beachbody for the in-home workouts. I had seen advertisement on P90X and talk to some friends that have tried it. I wanted to give it a shot. My day started at 4:30am with the T.V. and Tony Horton. We had our daily workout 7 days a week. I have to tell you after the 3rd day I was not sure this was a good idea. My body was sore and I could not complete all the exercises. I told myself that I started this and have to see it to the end. (One rule I have always taught my kids, if you sign up for it, you have to finish. You don't have to do it again, but you have to FINISH!) The soreness went away and by the second week the moves were getting easier. It wasn't till the 5th week when I started to notice the change that was going on. I started to have more energy, my body was wanting to workout, and most of all noticed clothes were not so tight. With these results it made me want more. I started to push myself. Reaching deepdown to get the most out of the morning workout. At week 11 I was seeing muscles that I knew I had, but was never able to see! Seriously, I could see muscle definition!!! I was so amazed with what I was seeing. I remember thinking why didn't I do this before. At week 13 my body was transformed to the new me. I couldn't help to look in the mirror every now and then. Being able to see muscles in my legs, back and arms. I felt incredible! To date I have lost 50lbs. and have gone from a 40 inch to a 33 inch waist. Not only do I have a new look, but my energy level is amazing. My kids have trouble keeping up with me now! I am looking forward to more workouts with the Beachbody. REMEMBER, all you have to do is JUST PUSH PLAY!!!
