In October of 2007 I went on a scuba diving trip in the Bontair mines. I love diving and was very excited to explore this amazing area of the U.S. This required lots of walking and many hours of diving. We walked a quarter of a mile, with all of our gear, both ways. The first day we walked down into the mines and finally reached our destination. We needed to put our equipment on to get ready to dive. I had to sit down and catch my breath before I could even get my gear on. I was miserable. I couldn't even bend over to zip my boots up. I pulled up my wet suit and zipped it up. It cut the oxygen off to my head. I felt like a fat, out of shape old man. We walked up and down into the mines 3 times that day. At the end of the day I felt like I was going to die. I was glad that we only had to dive one more time the next day. The next day when we went back into the mines I was sore and sick. I knew then that I needed to change. I told my friend that when I got back home I was going to find something to do. It had to be something I could do at home and I wouldn't have to buy some expensive piece of equipment (that might turn into a clothes hanger like everything else). I was so disappointed that I allowed my self to get this so out of shape. I had been in shape my whole life.
I was watching TV and saw the infomercial for P90X and knew that it was what I had been looking for. I got my DVD's and was so impressed that I enlisted my wife, my diving buddy, and his wife to do the work-out with me. I started on November the 5th and completed it February 3rd. We worked out every evening in my basement. It wasn't long before people started to notice how good I was looking. Not only did I feel and look better my condition in my leg improved. I'm able to stand longer without my leg swelling.I also lost an inch in my thigh and in my calf. This is well worth it to me due to the everyday pain that comes with my condition. Everyone was so impressed in my transformation that 10 of my friends are now doing P90X. During this process my coach Keith Williams has been an instrumental part in my success. He has praised and inspired me with his words and his success. I really enjoy the work-outs and how we "switch it up." I loved P90X so much that I just started P90X+. P90X+ is amazing. I also give praise to the wounderful supplements. I've been taking the strength and muscle men's formula along with creatine. I feel awesome about my body. My wife says I look HOT. Can't wait to see how I feel now when I get back into the water. I have so much energy that I don't watch much TV anymore. Thanks Tony Horton for kicking my butt.
