Cedar Park, TX I finally decided to take that step to believe and invest in myself by becoming a Beach Body Coach. I have thought about taking this step for a very long time, but self doubt and the unknown always held me back. I finally realized my fear and took the leap. To be honest it really wasn't that much of a leap more like a few clicks.
My relationship with my body: I was super active when I finally decided to take that step to believe and invest in myself by becoming a Beach Body Coach. I have thought about taking this step for a very long time, but self doubt and the unknown always held me back. I finally realized my fear and took the leap. To be honest it really wasn't that much of a leap more like a few clicks.
My relationship with my body: I was super active when I was younger and ate anything and everything around. Macaroni & Cheese along with Fried Chicken were my favorite foods. To be honest they still are, but I choose not to eat them. I played tennis, danced ballet, ran track, rode my bike, walked to and from school, etc. Never having to worry about my weight. When I got older I went dancing every night I could, but with the eating and drinking I started to put on some weight. Soon the exercise was so random and the eating was so fattening, it began to creep on. I got married and had kids. I put on 45 pounds with my first daughter, but managed to run it off just in time to get pregnant again. I put on 60 pounds with my second daughter and once again ran it off, but this time I got a foot injury and couldn't run. Then I got lazy. I ended up putting on 30 pounds over 2 years. Finally 1 day I decided enough was enough and I went to my local YMCA and joined. I would go hard core for several months and then slack off for several months. This went on and on for for 2 1/2 years. I had always wanted to be a personal trainer, but my thought process was that I would get certified once I got my body to where I thought it should be to become a personal trainer. But everytime I got closer to that goal I would slack off again. Then one day I had a light bulb moment. I realized that I was self sabatoging one of my dreams. I started to look back at my fitness habits over the years and realized that everytime I got close to my goal I would slack off and because of this I had yo yoed my health and fitness back and forth. I immediately signed up for the training course to get certified to become a trainer and a group exercise instructor. I took and completed both courses. Right after this I learned about P90X from some friends on Facebook. I ordered a copy right away. I feel in LOVE with it. P90X has transformed my body, my health, my mind and my life. As cheesey as it sounds to say a workout DVD can change that many aspects of your life, it really is true for me. I am 42 and for the first time in my life I LOVE my body. I am healthier then I have ever been and I look better then I ever have. I am about to ride in my second 100 mile bike ride, I just ran a 1/2 marathon with 9 min 9 sec miles, I did my first triathlon last summer and I just completed round 3 of P90X. P90X was the start of all of this for me.
How I came to love Beach Body products: Several years ago my cousin gave me Power 90. I tried the beginner level and wasn't that crazy about. I like to hit it hard when I exercise, even when I'm just starting out. After discussing this with my cousin she convienced me to do the advanced Power 90 DVD. I did and I loved it. I loved Tony's humor & jokes, plus the workout was hard enough for me. I would travel and take it with me. Then another friend introduced me to Turbo Jam, now that is some FUN stuff. The day I got it I did 2 of the DVDs because it was so much fun. I later got Slim in 6 and gave it a try. These had some great moves, but I am a free weights kind of girl. I prefer to move metal then bands. Then I got the powerful and almighty P90X. (This is where the angels come out, they sing and play their harps.) I was hooked. After I completed my 90 days, I convinced my husband to do it with me. We completed the program and I ordered Insanity. Shaun T is just bananas! After completing his insane program we did a hybred version of P90X and Insanity and P90X+. Love it! I just ordered Chalean Extreme. I can't wait to get started on it. If it is half as much fun as Turbo Jam, it will be fantastic. While Tony and his P90X will always be my first love, every product I have gotten from Beach Body has been incredible. I'm very excited to become a part of this amazing company.
What now: So now what? I continue with my crazy, busy life of being a mother to my crazy & loud daughters, wife to my wonderful husband, college student (finishing up my Health & Fitness Management degree), personal trainer & group exercise instructor, and now Beach Body Coach. I am very excited to discover all that Beach Body has to offer and what other exciting things it has in store for me. I hope you will join me on this exciting adventure.

My cousin gave me Power 90 back in 2008. I did it here and there, but never got a serious routine going. I liked it, even brought it with me when I traveled to see friends. I just wasn't serious about getting in shape...yet. Then in January of 2009 a friend posted on Facebook that he had just finished up his Kenpo X work out. I posted back asking what that was. He told me all about P90X and how much he loved the work outs. I looked into it and bought it. I started the work in February and loved it. It was hard, but I loved the challenge. I was also training for a 100 mile bike ride so I had to stretch the program out to 2 months, but I did it and saw great results. People started asking me "what are you doing different." My husband had been going to the gym 5 days a week, but his results had stopped coming. He was stuck. I wanted to do another round of P90X and I asked him to join me. The only downside to this was now I would have to get up at 5:15 to work out. I agreed to get him to do it with me. So we did and man on man did we both see changes. I ordered Insanity, but by week two we both missed the toning and felt like we would loose a lot of what we had built from P90X, so we decided to do a combo of the two. It worked out great! We have continued to do this. I am on round 5 and Chris is on round 4. Since starting P90X I have biked in 2 - 100 mile bike rides,1 - 70 mile bike ride, done a sprint and an olympic length Tri, and ran a 2 hour 1/2 marathon. While we use weights at home, we bring P90X, bands and Insanity with us when we travel. P90X and Insanity have really changed my body, mind and soul. I decided last April to become a Beachbody coach and I love it. My husband became a coach in August. P90X ROCKS!
