Morrisville, NC I am a mother of 1 beautiful little girl who will turn 1 this coming August 23rd. I have a wonderful husband and we live in Raleigh, NC. I was in real estate sales since graduating college in 2004 up until my husband got a new job that moved us from the coast in Wilmington, NC to the capital city.

I have always been an athletic person and was involved in all kinds of sports growing up. Swimming, gymnastics, soccer, volleyball...particularly swimming. I was always able to eat whatever I wanted and although I oftentimes felt fat because I had larger muscles than a lot of other girls my age, I was never really overweight growing up.
College came and I never really gained the freshman 15 either. I stayed around 120lbs and actually worked out pretty regularly since our campus rec center was new. I started to put on a little weight after college when I started in real estate sales. I didn't have the rec center anymore, so I was going to have to actually make more of an effort to stay in shape. I joined a gym but didn't go as much as I should have and I gradually gained up to 140lbs. Once I met my husband, we both put on about 10 extra love pounds from going out to dinners, etc., but it wasn't until after we got married and I got pregnant with our daughter that WHOA the weight came on and my metabolism sank! I developed hypothyroidism the last trimester of my pregnancy, and that was going to make losing the 65lbs I had gained that much more difficult. It was a really awkward time for me because I was so happy to have this beautiful little girl, but I was so depressed at what my body had become. I understood I had just had a baby, but I also knew over the longterm, I didn't want that. Not for me, not for my husband and not for our daughter. I wanted to make sure I would never feel that way about myself again and to always set a healthy example for those around me.
That's when I found Beachbody and P90X. I loved it so much I wanted to do more and ordered Turbo Jam to do along with it. To my surprise, the weight started coming off and eventually my muscles began showing through. I still have a ways to go in my own goal, and the Beachbody community has been an amazing support system for me; keeping me inspired and motivated. My confidence started coming back with each pound or inch I lost, even though I was a long way from reaching my goal.
Coaching others through Beachbody was the next natural step for me. Helping others to get healthy and find the confidence they're looking for to change their lives makes it all that much more worth to me. It's so important to remember one key thing on your journey. It's not about a number on the scale or the size of your jeans, but about being healthy and feeling good about yourself. When you are confident in yourself, it radiates to every other part of your life, and that I can promise.
