All throughout middle school and high school I was a chubby kid. I could never wear what I wanted and always felt insecure about myself because of my "baby fat" as I consistently enjoyed blaming it on. In high school I always wore a sweatshirt, had a beard, and grew my hair long to try and minimize the noticeability of my "extra baggage". After high school, actually two years after, I reached the heaviest I have ever been which fluctuated between 198 and 200 lbs. I am 5'10" and had virtually no muscle then so those numbers put me at around 35 lbs over what my ideal weight should have been. I was also smoking at the time and ate a diet high in large fast food meals and high amounts of starchy carbs and sugar. I hated vegetables (or so I thought) and almost never had a healthy, nutritious meal. My hair, skin and nails looked terrible as well as my waistline. I had to make a change.
I had heard about P90X from a friend of mine shortly after we graduated and tried it out. Unfortunately I quit after the first week. My mind wasn't quite there yet. Remembering about this experience and how intense the workouts were I decided to give it another shot. I finished the first 2 months of the program and saw fantastic results. I had muscle and definition (still no 6 pack abs but I was determined to get them). I cleaned up my diet, spent countless hours learning about health and nutrition, and paired my workouts with the P90X results and recovery formula which I absolutely love. Well life decided to throw a curveball at me (EXCUSE) and I jumped off the wagon. I ended up with a job for an airline where I did a lot of heavy lifting at work so I retained a lot of strength but I started eating terribly again and smoking again. Lost all my results for the most part.
Fast forward a year. I decided to do the whole thing again. This time around I discovered Shakeology and paired that with my diet and really felt alive. I started P90X again and started regaining those lost results. Another curveball (EXCUSE). As I jumped off the wagon again I had pretty much lost all hope in myself to achieve this mission of optimal health that I desired so much. I blamed it on a stressful job, stressful home life, and any other small excuse I could throw in.
Fast forward again. Now here we are in 2012. I have a new job, new home home life, more experience and even more ambition than before. I also have the companionship of my beautiful girlfriend Rochella working on her goals right alongside of me! We just finished our first month of P90X (started on Jan. 2nd 2012) and have decided that we need to switch up the program. None of these programs in my opinion are a "one size fits all" and that's why there are so many to choose from. They all work if you commit and put in the work, you just have to find the one that you get the most enjoyment from. Getting in shape and feeling amazing is suppose to be fun and rewarding. So we now have Insanity on the way and will probably hybrid some P90X workouts in with the whole Insanity program. This is the year that we achieve our goals, physically AND financially.
I want to help other people along the way. I believe in this company, the workouts they provide, the supplements they create, and the message they convey. As Tony Horton says, "Knowledge is power, power is change, change is good!" This is why I have decided to become a coach, not only to help myself get healthy and make more money, but to help others do the same thing. We are all capable of making our dreams a reality, sometimes we just need a little help and encouragement. Join TEAM BEACHBODY for free today, sign me up as your coach and contact me ASAP so we can get started and achieve our goals together!
If you are interested in becoming a coach and joining my team please contact me ASAP so I can explain it in detail and sign you up! Cheers!
