I'm Caro, a freelance writer and fitness lover. A former softball and volleyball player, fitness and sports ahve always been a part of my life, but after a small tumble down a flight of stairs caused me to stop working out. Years later, I discovered that the fall had damaged a disk, which was causing me not only a great deal of pain, but sciatica. I had lost the feeling in my right leg and I'm Caro, a freelance writer and fitness lover. A former softball and volleyball player, fitness and sports ahve always been a part of my life, but after a small tumble down a flight of stairs caused me to stop working out. Years later, I discovered that the fall had damaged a disk, which was causing me not only a great deal of pain, but sciatica. I had lost the feeling in my right leg and stability in my hip. After four years of pain, I finally found relief, but the muscles in my back were too weak to support. So now, I'm working on my core, trying to make myself strong and healthy.

My story is like most. When I was in high school, I was really active, playing sports all the time and enjoying being active. As I got into college and then into the career world, I lost track of my health and never had “enough” times to exercise. Like anyone as they age, my metabolism slowed and the weight began to pack on.
When I got into my late twenties, I was unhappy and pushing upwards of 160 pounds. In the winter of 2004, I had severe intestinal problems and ended up losing 30 pounds in a rather unhealthy way. Since then, the weight crept back on, this time, I topped out at 180 pounds. Now I’m hovering between 175 and 180 and determined to lose the weight. My goal is to get back to 150, where I feel the healthiest.
With health problems that run in my family and my own back problems, I decided that there is no better time than today to get started making sure that I’m in the best shape of my life. I don’t want to be unhealthy anymore, and luckily I have joined up with Team BeachBody to help me, as well as others, lose weight and gain health.
So I'm getting back into fitness shape, one pound at a time, and hoping to reverse the bad habits I have forced upon this physical body I was given. I'm only given one, so I need to take care of it, starting right now.
