I was in pretty good shape during the summer of 2007 and injured my back doing squats in early fall of that year. That was among several other smaller injuries from lifting. I ate everything in sight through the holidays and in January of 2008 weighed almost 220lbs which was the heaviest I've ever been. I started to diet in January and February of 2008 with very little physical activity at all. I saw P90X on an informercial and my neighbor and I decided to order the program and commit to the routine.

I started the program March 1, 2008 at 217lbs and not having worked out for several months. The first two weeks were dissapointing. I'm glad no one was around to see me only be able to do 2-3 pullups at the most. I was an uncoordinated joke doing Plyo and was lucky to do sets of 15 during AB RipperX. But, I wrote down what I did during every workout, never missed a day of the program, and followed the nutrition guide to a T. I also used the supplements from Beachbody, escpecially the recovery drink. I lost about 10lbs in the first month and was able to get about 6 pullups at this point. At the end of the 90 day program I weighed in a 188lbs and was more ripped than I had ever been. I was able to get through Ab Ripper with no problem, crush Plyo, and churn out 20 pullups. I was not sure all the Carbs in the last month of the nutrition plan was going to work, but the pounds seemed to melt off.

I have continued to work since then to remain fit and now have the opportunity to Coach and encourage others with the Beachbody programs. My best advice is commit to a routine or one of these programs, commit to proper nutrition, and use supplements if you can. I'm looking forward to trying many other workout programs from Beachbody over the next several months. I'm also looking forward to helping you. DECIDE, COMMIT, SUCCEED! It worked for me and will work for you.
