It all started when I went to my doctors office and approached that scale. Like many of you, I too hated getting on that scale and we all convince ourselves that the scales are always wrong at our doctors office, it adds 10 pounds etc. but when i saw that number I couldn't lie to myself anymore.

I was 220 lbs at a height of 5'7...I was obese. When I realized that for the first time I was now considered obese something snapped and I knew it was TIME FOR CHANGE!! I was already familiar with P90X. Why you ask? How was I 220 lbs with such a fine product? Because I tried it for 30 days and stopped pressing play!

I put in that first disc, went through the work and felt TERRIBLE! I found myself dizzy and in the bathroom about to throw-up 30 minutes in. So i did the smart thing and got P90 so i can build a foundation. With the help of my AWESOME and MOTIVATING wife, we did the workouts together. After completing P90 I had lost 22 lbs and felt great but at 198 for my height (and my reflection in the mirror) i was still obese and unhealthy and not there yet.

So i started P90X and completed my first round and got down to 180lbs!! All i did was reduce my calorie intake and did the workouts and was no longer a statistic for American obesity....but I wasn't satisfied! I knew I could do better, I knew I needed to dial in my nutrition like Coach Wayne mentions all the time and Tony Horton. Nutrition is key!

It was time to GET SERIOUS AND BRING IT! I ordered Shakeology, I figured out what i was going to do nutrition wise and made a plan. This time I'm going to do it right. Stay tuned as I begin my journey to reach my goals fitness AND nutrition.
