MCKINNEY, TX Hello fellow P90Xers!! I am 39 years old and a father of four boys and husband to a beautiful woman named Kerstin. I have been an active person my whole life. I played sports all through school and after. I have spent most of my adult life fit and active. I was even a professional trainer for a little while. I am 39 years old and a father of four boys and husband to a beautiful woman named Kerstin. I have been an active person my whole life. I played sports all through school and after. I have spent most of my adult life fit and active. I was even a professional trainer for a little while. Well, after some major life changes, including a divorce and career change, something happened to me. I have to say first that when I met my wife Kerstin, I was in the best shape of my life, but not for long. Over the past three years, my body, energy, moods and just overall health started heading down hill fast. I've never been this out of shape and I don't like it. I work out and I do all the things that "used" to work for me, but not anymore. I just keep losing strength, energy and the body that I used to be proud of. I'm sure that many, many men my age experience the same thing, but for me, for once in my life I couldn't conquer this. I was sitting around this year thinking that my 40th birthday is coming up and started to question myself. I'm happy right, i asked myself. I mean who could complain? I have a great career that supports my family with everything that they need. I have absolutely wonderful kids and a wife that is a wonderful woman and mother. I look around me and everything/everyone in my life is doing great. But, inside, I'm not happy with myself and that bugs the crap out of me. I’ve turned into someone that I that I didn't want to become. I've turned into that guy that I've spent countless hours teaching others not to be. So then I thought a little deeper and decided that if I'm not happy then how can I expect to be the man that my family needs me to be. What I'm providing for them just isn't enough. In the past couple of years we have all seen how a life can be changed in the blink of an eye. You could lose it all tomorrow and all you can really provide for your family that no one can ever take away is "yourself". It is for this reason that I reached out and started looking for something to do that would make me change for the better. Having an extensive background in the field of nutrition and sports (or so I thought), I am skeptical to say the least at every add you see out there for the new and improved way to get fit quick. Here one day and gone the next. When it comes down to it, the only way is a full blown commitment to a better way of life. hard work and discipline is the only way. The more and more that I researched, the one program that is still standing out there is P90x. I read and watched all the success stories and spoke to some people that had purchased the program. Many of them quit without ever letting the magic happen. Days from greatness, just up and quit claiming that it was too much of a pain in the ass. It was too hard. The eating, preparing, mental toughness and time restrictions. BS...all excuses. Well, once I heard this, I knew this was the program for me. I want something that is going to make me EARN it. Make OWN my results. I am two days into the program and my wife is doing it with me. We're following the whole program and diet to the T. I'm so proud of her for doing this with me. She is the typeof person that doesn't need to really do anything and she looks great all the time. I know that she sees how important it is to me and is committed to helping me see it through. I'll keep you posted and I look forward to seeing each and every one of you on the other side.
thanks,
James

Update...
Well it's nearly 7 months since I started my fitness journey and I have been very pleased with my transformation. My goal was to get in the best shape of my life by age 40. Guess what happened?? I accomplished that goal sooner than I thought. It was never easy, but I stay committed and reached my goals early. So the competitor in me did the only thing I could and I set new goals and did the program all over again. I didn't get there alone though. I had a very supportive family and a very supportive coach that kept me motivated and engaged constantly. I started my second round of P90X as a team Beach body coach and never looked back. I was able to reach all my new goals in my second round and have been fortunate enough to help quite a few others along the way. This program and Beach body have transformed my life and it is my #1 goal to do the same for you. As a coach I can truly show my appreciation by paying it forward. Let me help you set and reach your fitness goals. Now I have decided to take the Insanity challenge and boy is this a whole new level of challenges. I still continue to improve my body and my mind every day. With each passing day I get a little closer to my new goals and I want to take that journey with you. I actually look forward to seeing my Dr. now. He tells me that I'm a new man and I owe it all to Beach body and all of you. I have lost 18% bf (47lbs of fat, gained 8lbs of lean muscle and went down 9 pant sizes. I was in danger of getting on cholesterol and high blood pressure medication. Now I'm not only in no danger anymore but my levels are better than a man half my age. Now my whole household is living a fit lifestyle. I could go on and on about how my life has changed for the better. If you're reading this and you are on the fence about taking the challenge of changing your life, stop waiting and commit with me. You'll be amazed at what you can do one you decide, commit and challenge yourself. Thanks for reading my story and I hope to a chance to cross your finish line with you.
