I am a 59-year-old grandmother. I am a CPA, which requires me to sit on my butt all day long. To compound the problem, I have been coming home from the office for the past decade and sitting on my butt watching TV every evening. I have been content knowing that I have kept my weight under 200 pounds all this time. I don’t know what happened, but this past spring, I finally passed that mark and I am a 59-year-old grandmother. I am a CPA, which requires me to sit on my butt all day long. To compound the problem, I have been coming home from the office for the past decade and sitting on my butt watching TV every evening. I have been content knowing that I have kept my weight under 200 pounds all this time. I don’t know what happened, but this past spring, I finally passed that mark and topped out at 207.
I have to be honest, I signed up as a Million Dollar Body coach when a co-worker told me how much money I would make. Well that all changed for me when I attended the meeting in Las Vegas. I was inspired by the stories of the people that have changed their lives simply by pushing play everyday. It moved me to hear how the people at the corporate level of the company not only live this lifestyle themselves, but also have set a goal to eliminate obesity through this program.
After that meeting, I explored the web site, joined the club and this week started WOWY. I know that I have a long way to go, but I know that with the help of the MDB community, I am not alone on this journey. After about a week of eating healthy and doing a workout, I feel better than I have for a long time.
I hope that all of the people who are assigned to me as their coach will join me on this journey and in the end; we will all be better off for it.

After the first 6 week cycle, I have lost 17 pounds - not as much as I had hoped, but at least I am making progress. Today I will start the 2nd 6 week cycle. I have dropped a full dress size and my clothes have gone from tourniquet tight to loose fitting. I went to my neice's birthday party in an outfit that I couldn't fit into for more than 2 years.
It has been fun going through my closet and wearing things that haven't seen light of day for many years. I have a large pile of clothes that I simply can not wear again because they are just TOO BIG!
I feel great and have a ton of energy. I'm looking forward to reporting great results in the next 6 weeks.
JANUARY 1, 2008 Since I last reported in, I have lost another 10 lbs. I actually have been at this weight give-or-take since Thanksgiving. The good news is that I managed to maintain the weight through a 3 week cruise and the Holidays.
With the New Year comes a renewed commitment to continue the journey toward a fit and healthy lifestyle. My goal is to lose another 50 lbs. by my birthday - July 21.

FEBRUARY 1, 2008 Ok. so January wasn't my best showing, but I do have a couple of sucesses to share. First, I have passed from the obese BMI to being merely overweight. That feels great to me, and really marks a milestone in my progress. Second, I went shopping for clothes because my pants were literally falling off. I went to the regular ladies area, choose a size 16 right off the rack and they fit! I can no longer get clothes from the plus size department!
My plan for February is to get on WOWY and be more diligent about my workout. See you there!
