My interest in health & fitness started at a young age with competitive dance and swimming. I guess you can say that have always had a passion for exercise, health and fitness. But, when I was in college I hit a few road blocks along the way. My biggest was when I shattered my foot completely from my meditarsals all the way to my calcaneus. I was in the hospital for two weeks, on crutches for 6 months and then in a walking cast for 6 more months. Needless to say I wasn't able to dance like I use to love, run, or even exercise and became very unmotivated for quite some time. Finaly I woke up one morning after seeing my weight jump up to numbers I hadn't seen before and told myself, "this is not who I am. No more excuses. It's time to change." It was like starting from scratch, but I have since built back up my strength, endurance and goten lean, toned and have energy that fules me to go for it! Now I want to do the same for you! On this journey, I have recieved my Bachelors of Science degree in Health Sciences with an emphasis in Physiology and Anatomy where I have studied and gained experience in various physiological studies including exercise physiology, physiological testing and nutrition. I am a certified Personal Trainer, Fitness Professional and Regional Director of Snap Fitness in Orange. I have experience working in the medical industry and I have gained extensive experience in pulmonary research, clinical work, maximal oxygen uptake tests (VO2Max) and exercise induced asthma testing. Working in the hospital system has given me a wide-range of well-rounded experience in health. Educating individuals with diverse backgrounds about their health and wellness has inspired me to reach out to a greater population and to redirect my life back to Personal Training and health coaching. My certifications include, but are not limited to personal training, Yoga, CPR and AED. Continuing my education in health and fitness is important to me, as there are new discoveries every day.I love the outdoors and enjoy being active in scuba diving, kayaking, salsa dancing, rollerblading, hiking, snowboarding, rock climbing, etc… I love the outdoors and living an athletic lifestyle. Staying active at any age plays an important role in people’s lives. I like having Big Dreams and reaching them and I enjoy helping others set and reach their Big Dreams as well.
