How I got Started.... Sweating was something I prefer to avoid, and balancing a pint of Hagen Daz Vanilla Swiss Almond was a past time while watching television.
Then Forest Gump was on it's hundreth rerun and I stopped at the scene where he decides to run to the end of the driveway, down the street, across town, across the state, and then across the country. After that I decided to do the 39th running of the New York City Marathon in 2008 on behalf of Team for Kids who's mission is to fight childhood obesity. It just seemed fitting to run for them.
I've lost 50 pounds just from the running, however I've been running injured for each of the 3 marathons I have done so far. I knew that I need to incorparate more cross training, core workout and nutrition. So when, my friend invited me to his Fit Club and that he was a Beachbody coach, I was intrigued.
After the class, I thought that this program will really help me acheive a qualifying time for the Boston Marathon.
I look forward to being more healthier, more fit and a role model for my beautiful wife and 3 children.
