I've been fighting weight issues for my whole life. I'm half Cuban, so the food alone can do it to you! I never liked exercise, so I never did. At my heaviest, which was my sophomore year of college, More ...
I've been fighting weight issues for my whole life. I'm half Cuban, so the food alone can do it to you! I never liked exercise, so I never did. At my heaviest, which was my sophomore year of college, I weighed myself one day to see that I was pushing 220 lbs. I didn't like the way I looked, and it made me depressed because I had no motivation.
For my 19th birthday, my aunt got me a gym membership and some sessions with a trainer. Reluctantly, I went. Those first sessions almost made me pass out! But I learned to like the feeling of hard physical work, and combined that with a better diet to drop 40 lbs. I did go up and down a few times, but it was a great learning process. There were times where I was probably starving myself because I didn't know any better, and I finally decided that I'm not going to do that to myself anymore :]
I've been stuck at around 175-185 for the last year and a half, and I'm starting to get pretty frustrated about it. I heard from a friend that INSANITY was really hard but a really good workout with no weights, so I finally decided to order it and give it a shot. I'm really hoping it busts my plateau to pieces!
