Hi, my name is Connie Hernando, I am almost 39 years old. I have 4 boys, ranging from 16yrs-2yrs old. After having my 4th child, I lost about 10 lbs baby fat within the first 3 months. Then after the 3rd month, I started gaining all my baby weight back and even more! Every month I tried on my pre-baby clothes and had to still put on the maternity clothes. There was a point when I started borrowing clothes from family, because I refused to buy new clothes to accommodate my weight gain. I couldn't figure out why I wasn't losing the weight. Six months later, I thought eating less and being active with the kids
would help me get back in shape. That didn't work! My son was now eight months old at the time, when I was stopped by a stranger and asked: "When are you due?" Right then I knew I had to make some changes in my life. It broke my heart that people thought I still looked pregnant. I was tired of crying and feeling so depressed that I was overweight. I hated seeing myself naked, because I could see all the fat around me. I asked my sister Christine who works for Chalene Johnson of Turbo Jam what I should I do. She told me I needed to exercise and eat healthy meals/snacks throughout the day. I didn't believe
her, and continued to eat very minimally throughout the day. I was never one to enjoy exercise either, so I didn't do that as well. As time passed, I kept asking her again and again what I should do, and her response being the same. I was looking for a majic pill or a different answer. I guess I was hoping for an overnight cure for my weight problem. One day I made a chart to log my workout.
I honestly did it out of spite and to prove her wrong. I started to run 20 mins then increased to 30 mins a day, in the coldest of winter storms. I had taken
a live Turbo Kick class from my sister Christine and REALLY loved it, but there weren't any live turbo classes in my area. She directed me to the Turbo Jam
videos by Beachbody. I started doing the videos and continued to run, even as late as 11:00pm to midnight. I realized that eating more and healthier helped me lose
weight. After about 3 weeks of complete goal driven commitment, I finally started to fit into my normal bigger clothes. Twelve weeks later, of straight
hard core commitment, I finally fit in my pre-baby clothes. I earned that! I
was so proud to announce to the world the drive, desire and commitment it took for me to pull that weight off. I was so excited to share my progress with my sister. It made her proud of me that I listened to her, stayed focused and followed her advice.
I have to say If I could do it so can you. If you want something bad enough make it a priority in your life and go after it! All it takes for you to DECIDE when, COMMIT to your desire, and you will SUCCEED! It is a tough journey and most of us can't do it alone. I want to offer all of you my support when you're ready to take your first step in living a healthy and more fit life.
Since I became a Beachbody coach, it has allowed me to help and inspire others to reach their goals and to make a commitment. I can now share with the world how they also can lead a healthier and more fit lifestyle through my
story. Helping others feel more confident and happy about themselves is the most rewarding job in the world. Thanks to the community and Team Beachbody support team, I am commited to my team and accountable for my own fitness programs.
My current workouts are P90X, Turbo Jam, and Chalean Extreme. These are my favorites! I use the Beachbody supplements; activit multi-vitamins for toning, cal/mag, omega-3, and slimming formula. The best part of my day that makes me feel absolutely GREAT, is the new Shakeology! I drink one cup a day, this shake has helped my body in so many ways. I have more energy, have lost another 3 lbs, and has made my system more regular.
