As I mentioned in my bio, I've been a sucker for the tomorrow game for far too long. I guess it's just so easy to not SEE the backward progress I've made in the last year. The last couple of years have been really difficult emotionally by losing my grandmother in 2008, and my 22 year old cousin on Thanksgiving 2009. I knew that these two events affected me pretty heavily, but I guess I didn't really see it until this time last year. I went to Hawaii for work for six weeks - it was so easy to make excuses for working out because I was mad crazy busy for work, wanted to enjoy the beach, etc. Then there was good food. But the real kicker was when I went touring the beaches of Oahu with a work friend. I had a great time, but then a couple of days later she emailed me the photos. There's one photo that is really great - except for the fact that it's a puffy version of me. It's not the me that I've been seeing when I get ready and check my outfit before walking out the door. Sure, I could see the puffy when getting ready for the beach or getting into my workout clothes since there's no hiding from that...but the truth is that I was puffier and heavier than I've ever been....ever. Over the past year, I've started teaching group fitness again, and now have classes 5 days each week. BUT my eating habits have been super inconsistent and while I've lost 20 of those emotional pounds over the last year, I'm not healthy...I'm not fit...but I AM READY!

The time to change is today. So here I go on BRAZIL BUTT LIFT! YEAH! Once upon a time, my goal was just to be skinny, but not anymore. I don't want to just lose the extra pounds - but I want to build a strong physique. :) Those women who have incredible muscle definition amaze me - and soon I will be one of them. :)
