Olympia, WA My name is Curtis Bryan and I started participating in Team Beachbody in March, 2009. I am married to my soul mate, Katie, who inspires me to stay as youthful as possible. We have two children who keep us constantly busy with school, sports, music and church activities.
I was an avid athlete up until I turned 30, when I ruptured my achilles. With the injury setback, career and children My name is Curtis Bryan and I started participating in Team Beachbody in March, 2009. I am married to my soul mate, Katie, who inspires me to stay as youthful as possible. We have two children who keep us constantly busy with school, sports, music and church activities.
I was an avid athlete up until I turned 30, when I ruptured my achilles. With the injury setback, career and children activities increasing, staying in shape became less of a priority in my life. I threw in the towel into staying fit. I began to experience several years of chronic back pain and crippling muscle spasms, but thought it was a genetic curse (my Dad and brother have poor back health). One of my passions is golf, and the back problems were preventing me from playing. I came upon an article that explained how critical core strengthening was to golf, so I started a routine the article suggested. Within a couple weeks, my back pain disappeared and haven't returned for three years. It made me realize how important fitness is to staying active, healthy and feeling young.
Over the past 15 months, I have added running back to my regimen, along with spin bike. I look forward to seeing added results with P90X, Beachbody programs and the support of my coach, Craig Wood.
