It's hard to describe myself, since my identity kind of got lost to me during the past twenty-odd years. I tend to describe myself as someone's wife, and a Veterinary Technician, instead of thinking of myself as an interesting person. In social settings, I've become the other half of the "his name - her name" couple. At work, I am "one of the Techs". I tend to describe myself as someone's wife, and a Veterinary Technician, instead of thinking of myself as an interesting person. In social settings, I've become the other half of the "his name - her name" couple. At work, I am "one of the Techs". It seems that we women tend to fall into that trap more often than men do. We put our jobs and our spouses and families before ourselves, then wonder why we never feel fulfilled. We are tired, and, more often than not, out of shape as well. When I decided to start using the Beachbody products, I was your typical 40 -something woman who definitely fell into the category. I put all of my energy into my career and my family, then had no energy left for myself at the end of the day. I saw an info-mercial on TV one Saturday morning advertising the 10-minute trainer series, and decided I could find 10 minutes each day to try to get my body back on track. The only time that wasn't already taken was the early morning time before the work day started. I called it my "me" time. I promised myself that I would give the program an honest effort and a trial period of 3 months the "see a difference" in myself. I told myself the I could do ANYTHING for 10 minutes, especially if each segment of the tape lasted only 60 seconds. I did my first workout the day the program arrived in the mail with my short-term goal being to just "get through" the sessions. Within a few weeks, I had gotten into the routine, and was doing better and better at finishing the workouts without having to rest. Slowly, but surely, the pounds and inches started coming off, and my energy level started going up. The initial 3-months came and went, and I decided to keep with it since it was working for me. My progress stalled a couple of months ago, so I decided to ramp up my program by starting the POWER HALF-HOUR series. Today was day 19 using this program, and I am happy to say that I have lost 4 pounds since day 1. I am still working out "before the chickens wake up", but it's the only way I can make the time. I will be taking a Dude-ranch vacation later this month, and it will feel great to have hopefully reached my fitness goals by then. September 15th marks my 1 year anniversary working out at Beachbody.com, and I have not been this happy about a lifestyle change in a long time.

I knew I had to do something when I was swimming with my nieces last summer, and wasn't able to get to the bottom of the pool to pick up pool toys because I had too high body fat. I had been in denial about my weight for a while before that day. I promised myself that by this summer I would be wearing a bikini instead of a tank suit, and that I would be able to swim to the bottom of the deep end of the pool if I wanted to. I am happy to say that I have lost over 20 pounds so far, and am wearing a size 6 swim suit (bikini). I can swim to the pool bottom with ease. I feel so much better. My doctor even asked me if I had had any major changes in my life in the last year because of the amount of weight I lost, and my overall change in body condition. I have finally found a program I can stick with, and that I actually enjoy doing. My co-workers and family have seen my transformation, and are very supportive my my efforts. Everyone wants to know what I'm doing, and I am enthusiastic when I describe the 10-minute trainer workout program. I also use the Great Body Guaranteed workouts (mostly the ab routine). My work day usually is very long (7 am to 6 pm), so I work out at 5 am most days that I am working. I found that I just had no energy left at the end of the day when I tried to go to the gym in the evenings before finding 10 Minute Trainer. I found many excuses to skip workouts. Now, I just get up a little earlier, and get my workout in before breakfast. NO EXCUSES. I feel more energetic throughout the day. With this program, and the on-line gym, I feel a sense of accountability that keeps me coming back day after day. Thank you Team Beachbody!
