I had always been a chubby kid. My family was not much of a healthy role model for me to be in shape and understand fitness and nutrition. Clothes never fit me well because of my waistline, and I had to settle for long leg trousers to match the waist. After graduating college the weight kept creeping up on me. My health was at its lowest point. I was diagnosed with Hypertension at age 30 and was put on medication. At that point the wait would eventually put me over the edge to where I was being told by my doctor that I am a contender of Type 2 Diabetes. That day I said, “Enough is enough!” My amazing wife and I took the plunge into the Beach Body community and ordered P90X. Since then, I will never go back to that lifestyle.

P90X and Beach Body taught me how to eat clean, stay in shape and correct poor habits and choices in my life. Not only is P90X an amazing workout program, its lifted my spiritual being to a new level. I’ve become a better husband, a better friend, and a more motivated person in life. Having my wife at my side doing the Yoga, the cardio, the lifting has been an amazing experience.

Since January 2009, we have completed a first round of P90X and have just started our second. The pounds and inches are shedding away (see stats) in just 90 days. To think that I was almost 245lbs with a 42” pant size and today I am falling out of a pair of 36” pants. I look back and can’t believe that two years ago I paid a personal trainer almost $1700 to work out with me for only 30 min a week PLUS a $40 a month gym membership and had zero results. P90X cost me $120 and I am in the best shape of my life!

Every day I push play, eat clean and get 8 hours of sleep. My fitness regimen includes band, free weights, a pull-up bar, a yoga block and yoga mat. Going shopping now consists of buying new clothes; something I used to dread because it meant something was going up in size. Now—things are going DOWN in size!

P90X is one hour a day. You can do anything for one hour can’t you? Make it your commitment for the day and I promise you that your results will amaze you. If you are even thinking of doing a program like this—don’t hesitate. It’s a massive lifestyle commitment that you NEED to do for yourself. You are the most important person aren’t you?
