I first picked up p90x as a New Year's Resolution in 2011. I was doing great with the workouts, lost about 12 pounds in the first 60 days (goal was 30), and felt in great shape.. but eventually got in a rut. Around Day 75, I stopped. The workouts were difficult and I had already seen results, so I just stopped. It was easier to quit. During 75 days time, I watched my diet, but not that
I first picked up p90x as a New Year's Resolution in 2011. I was doing great with the workouts, lost about 12 pounds in the first 60 days (goal was 30), and felt in great shape.. but eventually got in a rut. Around Day 75, I stopped. The workouts were difficult and I had already seen results, so I just stopped. It was easier to quit. During 75 days time, I watched my diet, but not that closely. I'd say I was operating at about half-speed.
Over the next 12 months, I gained the weight back on plus another 5-10 pounds. I really didn't even notice was what happening as it WAS happening.
Fast forward to 1/1/2012, and I was determined to do it again and - this time - to finish. I blasted through the 90 days with some awesome results. I had the motivation through an accountability group on Facebook. Looking back, the whole program was great. I was on a much better diet, too, and ultimately dropped about 25 pounds.
After p90x, I wanted to keep the train rolling so I went out and bought Insanity. Man, what a crazy program. I thought I was in the best shape I'd been in after p90x, but Insanity took it to another level. I lost about 12 pounds and can really say now that I'm in the best shape of my life.
The best decision I made was picking up a Beachbody product. It's much easier for me to go through these awesome workouts than it is to go to the gym, where I usually run out of things to do after a few months. I've never had a bad experience with Beachbody products either. I'm now a successful Beachbody Emerald Coach and have been since February 2012.
