I have always carried an extra 10 – 25 pounds of extra weight on me for as long as I can remember. After graduating from college and going to work full time the weight compounded. During my first pregnancy I gained fifty pounds and did no physical activity. Six months later, I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. This thyroid dysfunction affects your ability to loose weight and increased my struggle.

I am a mother of two grade school children and have recently gone back to work fulltime as a CPA. This does not leave very much time for me too take care of my health and fitness. When my sister and brother-in-law approached me about this new business, I was not very excited at first and did not examine the possibilities. It wasn’t until they came down to visit and took us to a Team MDB meeting that I truly became interested and excited.

In July 2008, I decided to draw a line and start my weight loss efforts over again. My daily goal is to do at least on video a day and carefully choose what to put into my body to fuel it. My twelve year old daughter and I have been doing Yoga Booty Ballet and Turbo Jam together. When we eat she reminds me only to eat until I am no longer hungry. She learned this tip on the Beach Body website looking around and recording her workout as a customer. Not only is my shape changing but, she is changing also.

As of the end of August 2008 my family has lost a total of 20 pounds. I have a significant increase in energy level. Food is not the first item I reach for when the day to day stress get to me.

In 2010, I began using the BeachBody meal replacements and this has significantly increased my weight loss.
