South Lyon, MI I am the mother of 4 children, and after a very hard labor with my first, suffered severe back pain that prevented me from walking for weeks in a row, and unable to stand up stright. I suffered for 5 years this way until the birth of my 3rd child, which during labor "something" popped in my pelvic and when I got off the table was able to touch my toes and straighten back up over and I am the mother of 4 children, and after a very hard labor with my first, suffered severe back pain that prevented me from walking for weeks in a row, and unable to stand up stright. I suffered for 5 years this way until the birth of my 3rd child, which during labor "something" popped in my pelvic and when I got off the table was able to touch my toes and straighten back up over and over... Something I did not have the stregth in my back to do for years. Since then I still have struggled with set backs because as my doctors say, the muscles have "cell memory". So I am always worried that I can go back to that pain again. Before the injury, I was very active and slender... Never perfectly fit, but a sporty fit type. ALWAYS thought I was fat, boy do I wish I was THAT fat again. The injury really put me in a bad way and I was unable to walk let alone excercise. Also, through all of this, I found that it isn't because I eat too much... QUITE the opposite actually. Ever since highschool, I almost never eat breakfast, infact because i have so many kids, i found that it would often get to be around 2 - 3 pm in the afternoon before I realized I hadn't eaten at all that day! Granted I didn't ALWAYS choose clean and healthy eating, but I totally wasn't eating as stereo typed "fat" person did. New friends would always comment that it was okay for me to have another serving of something - obviously thinking I was holding back on their account - NOT the case. I probably ate a little larger portions at dinner than I should, but was never a gorger. My doctors have told me that I have basically 'BROKEN" my metabolism and so my body holds onto everything I eat because it thinks it's starving. My challenge is to eat more often, every 2-3 hours.

Well, I just started because I had an injury that prevented me from working out until recently. I really believe that this time I will lose the weight. I use to be very active in my life before children and my major back injury, but I have gotten stronger over the years and now it is time to get back to being me. I am giving myself one year to get there. If Jeremy Yost can do what he did in a year than so can I, right?
