Fullerton, CA My name is Tomika Palmer, I am the proud mother of three children. I have two girls and one boy age nine, eight, and three. I am a School Counselor, Turbo Kick instructor, Basketball Coach and Fitness Consultant. I love helping others and providing them with the tools they need to achieve their dreams. In college, I played on the Women’s Basketball team. I loved being part of the team My name is Tomika Palmer, I am the proud mother of three children. I love helping others and providing them with the tools they need to achieve their dreams. In college, I played on the Women’s Basketball team. I loved being part of the team and looked forward to playing competitively against other teams. Whenever I am on the basketball court I feel like I am right at home. While enrolled in college I received my Bachelor’s and Masters Degree in Psychology and Sport Psychology. December of 2006 was one of the proudest moments of my life. I graduated with my Doctoral Degree in Counseling Psychology. When I heard them call my name I realized that nothing is impossible if you work hard and set goals for yourself. I have always known from an early age that I wanted to help others. I feel that this is my mission in life. Rather I am counseling students, teaching Turbo Kick, coaching basketball, or developing a fitness plan for someone, I get the utmost joy by motivating others. As a collegiate basketball athlete, I was physically active everyday. I paid no attention to my food intake, calories, or carbohydrates. I was physically fit and in shape. I felt confident about my body and the way I looked. One year my body fat percentage was as low six percent! Once a graduated from college, I got married and quickly gave birth to two beautiful little girls in two years. After the birth of my second child I noticed that my body did not “bounce back” the way it did with my first child. Once my second daughter turned one I noticed that I still had the pregnancy weight plus several more pounds. I began working full time and began eating out for lunch and dinner about five times a week. My poor eating habits was not only heavy on my wallet, I became heavy on the scale. Within two years my weight had ballooned from 175 pounds to 210 pounds. I went from a size 10 to a size 16. When I got on the scale and saw that I weighed over two hundred pounds my heart stopped and I thought it was a mistake. I got off the scale and tried it again it read 210 pounds. I felt embarrassed that I let myself and my family down. It was at this moment that I decided to take action.

After my second child, and eating out five times a week my weight jumped to 210 pounds. I was lifting weights twice a week but I was not doing any cardio exercises. I had recently moved to Orange County when I discovered Turbo Jam. I began taking the classes three to four times a week and I began to notice a change in my body within a few months. Turbo Jam combined with weights and healthier eating choices helped jump start my weight loss. I began eating fruits, vegetables and salad everyday instead of fast food. I also make sure I eat healthy snacks throughout the day to help me avoid eating junk food when I become hungry. Before I knew it, within six to eight months I had lost over 25 pounds. I went from a size 16 to a size 12. Five years later I am still crazy about Turbo Jam. I love it!!! Last summer I decided I was ready to teach Turbo Jam and got certified as a Turbo Kick Instructor. I have been teaching my own class now for about four months. Teaching my own class is the highlight of my week. The energy you are able to receive from others while working out and having fun at the same time is so motivating. As a Team Beach Body Coach I want to empower others to take their lives into their own hands and make positive lifestyle changes. I want to help people realize that YES they can make a CHANGE NOW! There are no excuses!!! I also want to become a Diamond rank coach and take my fitness and coaching career to the next level. As a coach, I can’t wait to help someone in the same way that Team Beach Body has helped millions. Together we can change now! It's never too late to make a change. I been taking Shakeology for 10 days and I have already lost 4 pounds!!
