I am a minister and a teacher in my mid 50's. And in January of 2007 I weighed 305 pounds. I have been happily married for 30 years to the greatest wife in the world. We lived in a small town in West Tennessee for 16 years. Recently we moved to South Carolina.
I'm stoked about having already lost over100 pounds, and I look forward to helping others to do the same. The weight has come off and is staying off. I have reached goals that seemed unreachable, and, based on my experience, now I'm helping people reach their goals.

I have always had to fight a battle with fat, with my adult weight fluctuating, with various diets, between 200 and 240 pounds. But from 2000 to 2006, I had gained over an additional 60 pounds. At 52, I ballooned to over 300 pounds. Though I wore 48” pants, I suffered from severe “dun-lapped” disease (done lapped over my belt). Bending over to pick up anything on the floor was difficult. Putting on my shoes would cause me to wheeze. I put in long, hard days with all my church, school and community activities, leaving very little "Randall" to give the other areas of my life.
The day we moved from Tennessee, my wife and I had our photo taken. In South Carolina I downloaded that photo to my computer. I soon deleted it. The sight of my stomach sagging over my belt disgusted me. The weight of the fat I carried stooped my shoulders. I looked disgusting, and I knew better. How had I been in denial for so long?
Now I'm grateful for that photo. The opportunity to see myself with a new, honest perspective very well may have been a lifesaver.
Settled in our new home, I became serious about loosing weight. It was in early February that I first saw a Beachbody P90X commercial. I subscribed to a free membership at Team Beachbody and committed to getting in better shape. I went to the message boards and learned from others who had been where I was and had experienced tremendous success with Beachbody fitness products. I was in such bad shape that I could not pass the fitness test for P90X. That's when I found out about Power 90, the predecessor and less intensive version of P90X.
I worked my weight down some, but I plateaued and couldn't get my weight lower. When I started using Power 90, the weight started coming off again, fast. But more than just losing weight, I was getting into the best shape of my life. I could do things I had never done before. And the weight was staying off.
In January of 2010 I started using P90X. The results were amazing and people around me were commenting on the changes they saw. That's when I decided to become coach. I wanted to help others experience the same success I had.
