Trabuco Canyon, CA My name is Elena Brown and I am single mother of 3. My Oldest daughter Alyssa is an athlete at UC Santa Barbara, Marissa is in San Diego at Mesa CC/SD State, and my son Andrew is 15 a freshmen in High School. I work for a Homebuilder as a Project Accoutant. I am busy working full time, and keeping up with my kids. My youngest is in whichever sport is in season during the year. My extended family is close by in Huntington Beach, so I spend alot of time visiting with them, they are crazy and alot of fun. I have been working out to Turbo Jam for the last 3 years, and 2 years ago started ChaLEAN Extreme. Love it! Love it! Love it! I currently train with ChaLEAN Extreme 3 days a week, and Turbo Jam 3 days a week! I have lost 17lbs this past year, I feel so good, I am happy, and sometimes I forget that I am 51 years old.
Last year I reached a plateau. I realized that I wasn't pushing myself, and I wasn't eating the way Chalene had been teaching us to eat! Well, I decided it was time to get serious about getting back in shape.
I started to push myself out of my comfort zone, started keeping a log of what I was eating, following the meal plans from ChaLEAN Extreme, and soon my body started changing, clothes weren't fitting anymore. It has been a life changing experience.
I have reconnected with old friends, and have made alot of new friends who are all such wonderful people.

As a child as was so skinny my Mom worried that something was wrong with me. I ate like a horse, but never gained weight. She always worried about it, and would take me to the Doctor often. In the 6th grade I did all my growing, so I was one of the tallest kids in school, skinny, and flat chested. Kids made fun of me and called me flatsy. In High School I could never find fashionable clothes to fit me.
In my 20's I took Disco Dance lessons, and Aeorbics classes at the gym off and on for years. After My oldest daughter Alyssa was born premature, she was in the hospital for 37 days, on a sleep apnea monitor till she was about 6mths old. Needless to say I did not get back to the gym until years after Marissa was born. I had a membership at 24 hour, but working full time and keeping up with 2 kids I did not have much time for the gym, and would go sporadically. After Andrew was born I worked part-time, but was always running around taking the girls to softball, soccer, gymnastics, and keeping up with a very active little boy, that has never stopped running.
About 6 years ago, I was not working sitting around doing very little. A friend of mine encouraged me to go to the gym with her after we dropped the kids off at school. I started doing PIYO at 24 hour, and loved it. It improved my posture, and I could feel my body getting stronger. I tried to take Monica's Turbo classes, but could never catch on, or keep up with her. After I went back to work full time, I did not have time to go to the gym. About the same time I hit perimenopause, and started gaining weight especially in the midsection. No matter how hard I tried I could not lose the weight. I was also under a tremendous amount of stress. My mid section just ballooned out. I stated wearing the Soccer Mom sweats to hide it, and hated it. About 3 years ago, I no longer had my memebership at 24, I started walking up and down Robinson Ranch Road, mostly to relieve some of the stress I was feeling. I started walking to the lake, and running around it as many times as I could. I lost a little weight but not much.
In January of 2007, Golds sent out a membership special, I came to the gym to check it out, and noticed that they had Turbo Kick classes. I had seen the informercials on TV I really liked the format. I took my first class with Mycala and was hooked. I joined the Gym that night right after class. I went as often as I could, I ordered Turbo Jam, and worked out at home when I couldn't make it to the Gym. My family thought I was nuts! I told everyone about Turbo Jam. My sister and my Neices that I was nuts.
I had heard about the test group, but didn't sign up for it. Some of the girls gave me a hard time, saying I didn't need to lose any weight. I regret not even trying out for it. Every week I watched the participants in the test group bodies change. Their bodies became leaner, and they all looked great. In January Gold's started offering Lean Extreme classes. I have been getting up at 4:30AM twice a week since then, I look forward to my workouts with Chalene. She is a great motivator, a wonderful person, is funny, and a great story teller. I look forward to Turbo with Monica, I still can't keep up with her, but she pushes me to try to keep up, she also a wonderful person to be around, and funny too. I have learned to eat much healthier. I have not lost any weight, but I have lost inches everywhere, I have never felt better in my life. Turbo Jam, and ChaLEAN Extreme has helped me acheive my goal, of trimming the fat around my belly. I still have a litte bit of fat to go, but I know I will get there.
I became a Beachbody Coach, to teach others that just because you reach middle age, you don't have to give up and settle for being pudgy, and carrying around that spare tire. Get up and move it. I haven't been this happy is a very long time, and it feels great!!
