I am very interested in YOU, and take my responsibility very seriously--while having fun with it.
If you have any questions or would like to consider becoming a coach yourself, I look forward to discussing it with you.
I am wife to a very tolerant man, and mother to a great 22-year old son. I originally hail from Upper Michigan, but was in the Army for 21 years, so have been around a bit.
I L-O-V-E Team Beachbody! After all the years of yo-yo dieting and struggling to maintain an exercise program without it costing me hundreds of dollars, I can do THIS. I used to like a light jog, which helped to reduce and maintain my weight, as well as strengthen me. But over the years my knees have been problematic, and I can no longer jog beyond running into the mall when it is raining. I feel that I am getting a comparable workout with these routines. I have several health issues around which I work, and find it most adventagious to work out at least a little each day to keep the stiffness at bay. Exercise along with diet and nutritional changes have been very helpful, and I continue to learn ways to improve.
There are times when I get very discouraged--especially at picture update time, when I am forced to evaluate my overall progress since the last month or time I updated. I think, "I don't look any different!" and want to scream at all my work. At those times I have to remember my goal and use the discouragement for a new start. I then add in another routine (from the beginning of the routine set), or pick up the pace (within my limits) by going to the next level or adding an additional workout 2-3 days a week.
The thing that has kept me going the most was my decision to become a coach. I feel I made a major commitment to myself and others, so I have got to stick with it for future success for myself, but ultimately for those that I can encourage and help to realize their goals.
Join me in this endeavor! So many folks join but don't take advantage of the profile pages and the connections they can make. No matter how embarrassing you may feel it is for you, if you don't do it, you are missing out. Think about it one pound at a time, keep it up using WOWY, and eventually you will make progress. "Rev it up" means to turn up the volume or pace. We want to "Rive it up," which means to break it down--that being our previously bad habits and ideas about our nutrition and exercise, and then: BUILD it up. Let's go for it!!

I have never been grossly overweight, but have always been what I would definitely call "plump," starting in my preteens. Over the years I have tried different diets, as well as fasting, to reduce. I have joined gyms and classes, which after a while became no longer fun. I have purchased equipment that sat gathering dust.
NOW, I am on my way to success with Hip Hop ABs™, Slim Series™, and kick-boxing with Turbo Jam™. I have fun while growing stronger. I am very excited about the program and knowing I can also jump in with Yoga Booty Ballet™ and Slim 'n 6™, as well as P90®. Oh, there is just so much, I want to do it all!
I invite you to join me in experiencing the feelings of power and accomplishment we can reach in attaining our goals. Set goals. My major goal is to reduce my high-cholesterol numbers, and I see this as happening most effectively by becoming more fit through exercise and better nutrition. Join the Team Beach Body and we will do it together.
If you are unsure about getting involved, do it in steps. First, be a Free Player to try it out. My weight reduction has always been slow in the past, but usually what comes off slowly for me stays off relatively well--as long as I watch it. I can feel my body strengthening, which for 66, that is good. Joint problems had prevented me from doing all the squats and deep bending, but I have progressed to where I am doing the squats properly, and my knees are taking them much better. (I found the explanations by Shaun T, Chalene Johnson, and Debbie Siebers each gave a slightly different explanation on doing squats, that combined together I got the idea.) Also, I am able to expand the workouts I use. I'm feeling better and my clothes are fitting more loosely. I'm excited about the progress I have been making, however small it may appear. My biggest problem seems to be getting rid of the tummy fat. A problem I have noted over the years is that I pretty evenly gain weight throughout my body. When I reduce, I first notice it coming off in my torso. After I think I am looking better, the weight shifts from my leg and arms, and I get my belly back. I stabilize weight, and then I go through the cycle again. It can be discouraging to see what appears to be my spare tire fat coming back, even though my watch is twisting around my wrist and needs links removed.
