Finally, I have reached a state of ‘enough is enough’! I can’t continue eating as much of what I want and drinking wine every night expecting to get results from my workouts that are sporadic, at best.

After finding out my blood pressure is 143/77, it is time to get serious. I have been on and off beach body programs for several years, but something always gets in the way. I had actually gotten down to 153 pounds from a whopping 180 last summer. Then my dad passed away and I gained 20+ pounds back in 4 months. And now my blood pressure is out of control.

Refusing to take medication to get the blood pressure down, I now must put all else second and get healthy and fit. I vow to make this my final lifestyle change and to reach my goals by my birthday in September of this year, 2010. I resolve to be fitter at 48 this year than in my whole of life.

Starting at 174 pounds and 36% body fat is going to be a challenge, but I am ready! Keep your eye out for my transformation story as I will be videoing my progress.
