After not being very physically active since college my sedentary lifestyle gradually caught up with me and I was carrying around about an extra 40 lbs. However, after completing Power 90 I lost 34 pounds and then moved on to Slim in Six. I feel great and I'm in the best physical shape since college! Thanks Beachbody! Bring on P90X!!!!

When I first started the Power 90 program I wasn't sure if it could work for me. However, I knew that if someone showed me what to do I could follow their direction. So I became determined to More ...
When I first started the Power 90 program I wasn't sure if it could work for me. However, I knew that if someone showed me what to do I could follow their direction. So I became determined to listen and follow Tony Horton's advice and read the great advice on the message boards. I started eating primarily from tier 1 & 2 of Michi's ladder and seldom from tier 3 & 4.

However, more importantly for me its the things I'm NOT doing/eating anymore. I knew when I started this program that with all of the bad eating habits coupled with aboslute zero exercise that it wouldn't be realistic for me to quit everything that I was doing cold turkey. It was a gradual adjustment.

A few of things I'm NOT doing are:

1. No more Soda's - I have had zero since I started. I was drinking probably 60oz of soda in a day. I now drink about 100 to 120oz of water every day. I started with 60oz of water and worked my way up. But the sodas were the first to go!

2. I don't eat junk food now. Several times everyday at work I'd be at the vending machine buying candy or chips. I could eat junk food like there was no tomorrow!

3. I stopped eating late at night (11:00pm). I used to eat a big late night meal just before bedtime.

Two things that I make sure that I DO are:

1. I DO eat 5x a day now. I never ate breakfast before and my meals were all over the place. Now I have breakfast, a mid-morning snack, lunch, mid-afternoon snack, and dinner between 5:30pm - 7:30pm. This is an everyday thing now. After that no food but water if I feel hungry.

2. I do my workouts EVERYDAY 6x a week with one day rest. I 'd like to say that working out has been easy but its been a challenge everyday. I believe that if I want to have results, and Beachbody says I will get them by sticking to their plan--then that's what I am DETERMINED to do. I haven't missed one!

3. Being on the east coast I won't have an opportunity to meet Tony Horton, but I put in my mind that I've got Tony Horton waiting for me to start my workout every morning and I don't want to waste his time or mine by being complacent and goofing off. It's not easy but its the BEST way for me. It's too easy to slack off. I listen to everything he says during the workouts and I read his advice on the message boards. I try and give 110% at every workout, but each week is different, it's pushing through the times that you are tired and unmotivated that are the most challenging!

The tools are right here in front of us. As you've seen, there are terrific folks here that gladly provide us with the motivation and support that we all need.

If you are reading this wondering if this will work for you, I can tell you that it's a definite challenge but YOU CAN DO IT! You are not alone!
