I am a 27 year old martial arts instructor. Ive been doing Kung Fu for 10 years and teaching for 7 years. I hold many black blets in my field, Also hold a PHD in philosophy. I work hard at teaching, but I love the sweets(my Kryptomite is Ice Cream). Being active is a main part of my life,(Kung Fu, teaching, swimming dancing) however its my distractions that slow my progress, ie. TV, Movies, Games.

Ive done the Power 90 program before and didnt complete it.I reched to about day 65-70 and had some injuries that made me stop and I just never really got back. I have just begun it again, but this time im really going for it. I hope that this forum will help alot with my goals. I want to get down to 250lbs as a start, eventually down to arounf 200-225.As a martial artist Ive had many injuries, the worst was a leg injury. I 'dislocated' my knee and for the last 6 years have dislocated both my knees at least 6-7 times each. Each time I was never the same agin(specially in weight). Ive changed the way I think and do things and Im happy to say that its been more than a year cince Ive last felt weak in my knees. Now im back with a vengence, so to say.
Im done with the 1st month. I feel great, my energy has almost doubled, and my strength has definatly incresed. Recently in my own 'masters' level kung fu class my teacher was having us do some pretty strenuois workouts. About an hour into the class my fellow teamates were huffing and puffing. Even my Sifu(teacher) was needing a break to get his "second wind". While I wasnt even tired. At the end of the 3 hour class I still had a resovoir of energy. Even during the class all of my movements were tighter and more defined. I work alot on my own, I go to that class only once or twice a month, but I usually teach 3-4 days a week. Plus I study in my spare time (all day). This program is a new begining for a definate, more enhanced phase of my life. july 28 I began the phase 3-4 of "Power 90" today. It was intense. Its been a whiel that I have worked out so hard. I know it will get easier! August 27 Im going down the home stretch, Even though I might not do Power 90 like Im supposed to(its hard in all curcumstances) I do some kind of excersize every day, ie. swim, walk, kung fu. Im eager to see my results going into the next phaze. (I want to get into P90X and really kick it up!)
Im about to start P90X, Im very excited. It looks like it will really take alot of the plateuing that I felt with other workouts Ive tried. the constant 'Guessing Game' that my body will be doing will keep every workout fresh and new. Im always remembering.... "Just Push Play!"
