Welcome! My name is Heather Dixon. I love God, I love my family and friends and I love life!!! My husband Jim is amazing and we have been extremely blessed with 2 precious and VERY energetic boys, Blake and Kyler and 1 sweet baby girl, Aleigh. I have the absolute best "job" in the world. I get to be a stay at home mom and I am privileged to teach group exercise to unbelievable men Welcome! My name is Heather Dixon. I love God, I love my family and friends and I love life!!! My husband Jim is amazing and we have been extremely blessed with 2 precious and VERY energetic boys, Blake and Kyler and 1 sweet baby girl, Aleigh. I have the absolute best "job" in the world. I get to be a stay at home mom and I am privileged to teach group exercise to unbelievable men and women at PAC Fitness in Prosper, Tx. I went to school to pursue a career in fitness and have been in the health and fitness industry for a little over 12 years. I started out as a personal trainer, both in home and at a Top Fitness Chain. I expanded my base and pursued group exercise. This, to me, was more fun than work. I have made some of the best friends of my life and am able to reach anywhere from 30-75 members at a time each time I teach.
Over the last couple of my years, my family experienced great tragedy. My husband and I lost our 1st daughter when she was 10 1/2 months. My awesome and perfect life had been turned upside down. At this point, there were 2 roads my life could have taken. I could have easily found myself spiraling downward becoming extremely depressed only to rely on drugs, food and alcohol to make me feel a "tad bit" better...OR, I could not let this tragedy destroy me. I knew I had my oldest son who was depending on me each day to make everything O.K. He was my motivation to keep going. I turned to what always made me feel better...God and GROUPX!!! By putting myself into energy that was positive, I was forced to come out of my funk. I LOVE helping people feel healthier and stronger. I choose to put my energy and focus into helping others and by doing so, I did NOT give in to the destruction of depression and all that goes along with it.
It was over the last 2 years that I realized my purpose in this life. My purpose in this life IS to help others achieve their best by INSPIRING, MOTIVATING, and EDUCATING. This journey is one that we will enjoy each step of the way... focusing on our new found energy, strength, and passion, we WILL achieve greatness by being healthier and happier! Let's go forth and SUCCEED!

I have always led an active life. I started playing multiple sports from the age of 7 and continued all the way through high school. It was when I got to college that it all went south! After More ...
I have always led an active life. I started playing multiple sports from the age of 7 and continued all the way through high school. It was when I got to college that it all went south! After gaining the freshman 15 (more like 20), I knew something had to change. I began going to the rec center and doing the cardio machines. I also started "dieting". By dieting, I mean not eating. That, of course, was not doable for me. I found myself very bored and understimulated with the stationary cardio machines and by always being a huge eater, not eating...was just not an option. This of course led to failure and I was back on track to gaining even more. Luckily, It was afer this that I met my husband who happened to be my savior. I always knew to eat my fruits and veggies but he taught me the meaning of eating low fat and taught me how to work out with free weights. I was still very, very bored with basic cardio, so I tried a kickboxing class and found my strength. I had so much fun and couldn't wait to sweat some more!!! Of course I became hooked on fitness and hired a personal trainer to achieve that "toned/defined" look. That was my "A HA" moment! I knew EXACTLY what my direction my life would take. I changed my major in school to exercise and sports science and enrolled in my first, of many, personal training certifications. I began changing lives one person at a time. I couldn't learn enough of the subject (and still can't to this day!) While personal training, I realized how many more lives I could reach if I taught group exercise. I knew how I felt every time I left that room. I knew how those instructors made me feel during class and the motivation and encouragement they gave me while participating. The classes were hard, but they were fun and those instructors made my workouts do-able and they kept me coming back for more. I knew I had to get involved in that kind of action...
Just when my career had taken off, I was blessed to be pregnant with our first son. Even working out throughout my entire pregnancy and being in the fitness industry, I still gained 65 pounds. It has been consistent with each pregnancy (I'm on my 4th) that I have gained 55-65 pounds. Luckily with the knowledge I gained about proper nutrition over the last 10 years and by keeping my workouts FUN and FRESH I managed to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight by the time my babies were 5-6 months old.
Don't get me wrong...It was TOUGH! I was tired, I felt huge and I felt sluggish. Plus...one of my all time favorite things to do is go out to eat with my family and friends and boy do I LOVE to eat! I realized that I cannot give up everything that makes me happy. I know with consistent challenging exercise, proper nutrition "most of the time" and with supplementation, it all works out and I couldn't be more happy!
