I have always loved to be active. Way back when, I can remember spending all of my time at recess tumbling (not like they do today). If I wasn’t tumbling, I was playing basketball or baseball.
Throughout Jr. High I was on the gymnastics team, but I started to grow. I hit 5’6”, about 6” too tall to be a gymnast. Eventually, playing sports went to the way of work and other “grown up” things.

I met and married my husband, and then came 4 children. We all know what pregnancies do to our bodies, but I worked hard to try to keep in shape. Unfortunately, my fitness journey was plagued with some health troubles and accidents. Some of the things that halted my progress were a car wreck that injured my neck, back and shoulder; gall bladder surgery; appendicitis; two knee surgeries, shoulder surgeries, a Lisfranc fracture in my left foot…
Needless to say, with each injury came weight gain. After the last injury of my foot and weeks of not knowing if I would ever walk again, I was determined to get in shape and not have any more injuries.
Last year, my son bought P90X. We started working out together and I loved feeling my muscles hard and toned. Then he went away to school and took the DVDs with him. I have continued to exercise: biking, toning, and running, but a year later I can tell I’m not as fit as I used to be. Then I started looking for P90X to buy and that is when I found out about being a coach.
My fitness goal is to regain my tone. I love being strong and healthy and I love exercising. The one thing that makes exercise more fun is when I am helping other people get healthier.
