After back, wrist, and ankle injury, I gained 90 lbs, soaring to 260 lbs. With some encouragement from my daughters, I set out to get into better shape by this spring ('09). For the last 12 years or More ...
After back, wrist, and ankle injury, I gained 90 lbs, soaring to 260 lbs. With some encouragement from my daughters, I set out to get into better shape by this spring ('09). For the last 12 years or so I've done special needs youth baseball teams with my younger daughter (an avid ball player herself), and she noted that I'd be watching from the stands if I didn't change something.
I liked the P90X informercial, but knew I wasn't ready, so I started with P90, dropping about 40lbs. My older daughter started goading me to get back into climbing (she is a climber), so, I did. I also went on to P90MS, and dropped another 25 lbs.
Now I've just started P90X. I'm not as worried about the last 25 lbs, focusing more on getting strong and cutting body fat. Aside from my daughters, big thanks also has to go to my wife, who has really helped me stick with good eating.
