If you are REALLY HITTING IT EVERY DAY, please join me. I am a Former United Stated Marine Corps Infantry and Special Forces Captain, Navy Diver and Unarmed Combat Instructor. I am also a Black Belt in WTF TaeKwonDo. On the civilian side I am a semi-retired securities and insurance broker. I am currently scaling my national brokerage operations back to just the Desert Southwest. About 13 years ago I went to a well meaning doctor for borderline blood pressure. He gave me meds. Those meds gave me acid reflux. He gave me more meds. Those gave me other symptoms, he gave me even more meds and so on and so on. The result was an insatiable hunger that caused me to eat and eat and eat. I was eating until the food was filling up the back of my throat. I was CONSTANTLY HUNGRY. I gained over 100lbs in 10 months. My medical records were over 3 inches thick! They evaluated me for EVERYTHING, but could find no reason for the hunger. I was amazingly healthy for someone with so many weird symptoms. About a year later, I was giving a seminar to a group of my sales reps and during a break I pulled out my then VERY LARGE pill pack to take yet another pile of Rx's. One of my new reps was a Naturopath trying to build his practice by selling health insurance. He asked me what a thirty-something was doing taking SOOOO many pills and I told him the above story. He told me to come to his office the next day for a free consult. Over the next 3 months he got me off ALL THE PILLS. The hunger disappeared when the combination of the blood pressure and acid reflux pill were stopped- INSTANTLY! At the end of the 3 months I was healthy again, just FAT! I immediately began powerlifting to strengthen my body to carry the extra weight and then I began working on the fat loss. My biggest challenge is that I easily gain muscle, but it is that hulky, mesomorph type muscle. I also lose weight easily, but I lose muscle with it, even on extremely high protein, low calorie diets (upwards of 250 grams daily). I have always worked out aggressively, but was limited in running and getting up in the air due to my weight. I do Martial Arts 5 days a week with my Black Belt 13 year old son and my very soon to be Black Belt 9 year old daughter. I tried P90X with a friend and most of it I either didn't like or was too easy. I like cardio weight lifting, but I like doing sets to failure. I also hate static work like yoga. The Plyo was good and I did it once or twice a week when my workout buddy came over. The Ab Ripper X was too much hip flexor/IT to do after 60-90 minutes of grueling bag drills (kicking and punching). I found old copies of Ab Ripper 200 and Great Abs and alternated them 5 days a week. Right now I am looking to get rid of that last 20, mostly sub-q pounds of fat. I wanted the toughest workout on the market so I chose INSANITY. I reviewed everything from Martial Arts, MMA and Krav Maga to other regular cardio programs. I wanted a no brainer super hard, special forces early morning A$$ Kicker. I hope it is! I will be doing it at 6AM, so hopefully I will get some military flashback motivation! Thanks for reading! g
