I bicycled as a team captain for 6 consecutive years in the Dallas MS150, a two-day cycling marathon (benefitting the Multiple Sclerosis Society). I have enjoyed helping others "ride the wave" in discovering not only an energized faith, but also their pathway to better health and fitness. I'm not new to fitness. Over the years I've bounced in and out of gym memberships, and maybe like you, tried a few different "stay-fit" programs. I've learned there are no short cuts. To become physically fit and staying fit means making healthy choices. Making healthy choices takes a commitment to change the way you think, become involved in and motivated by helping yourself and others improve, and finally doing away with the status-quo, or the same old behaviors. So after three MRIs, a barage of X-Rays, multiple trips from one specialist to another; it was time to act. Since my physical exam this year I weighed 209 Lbs. In December 2010 I weighed 196 Lbs. I lost roughly 13 Lbs. I have just been able to slip into my size "36" jeans. First time in many, many moons!
Transformation to me means a whole new way of thinking, being, and doing life. Do you want to be transformed? Do you want health, healing and wholeness? If so, then consider making a personal determined decision and declaration to start moving! Next, write down your immediate goals, and then share it with someone. Ask yourself this question, "Could I start exercising if my life depended on it?" And, "If not now, when?" Remember, there are no short cuts. Your future is now!".
