My name is Jeri-Michel Duncan and I live in Dublin Georgia. I am 42 years young and I have raised four amazing children, ages 23, 22, 21 and 18. I am single and have been for most of my adult life..so my children are truly MY greatest accomplishment. I am 5'9 and have always struggled with having a "big build". My weight has averaged around 150-170 for the last 20 years but over the last two years dealing with some medical and depression issues, I am at an all-time high of 225 pounds. I'm usually a very social person but I have lost all self-esteem and have spent much of the last year secluded. My attitude has been very negative, my relationships have suffered and I have damaged myself spiritually in my self-pity. I've never been a big eater, but when I do eat..it's usually absent of any nutritional value. My poison is red wine..specifically Pinot Noir. To drink a VERY large bottle a night has not been unusual. I used to make an excuse that because I'm an Italian Catholic that is expected behavior but I'm now ready to admit that I was using it to numb my emotions.
I'm a creature of habit, so I see no risk in becoming bored with the meal plan suggested by Beachbody. I'm committed to my daily 10am workouts of Insanity, and I believe being a Yoga enthusiast and former runner, I have the knowledge to properly stretch to avoid injury and excessive pain..but I know they don't call it INSANITY for nothing. Tomorrow (02/11/2013) will be the first day of a new me...stayed tuned!
