I am feeling the pull of the road-the road to geriatric oblivion. Now, I can choose to slide off this planet eating pastry and watching myself turn into a "Starri Toasti Purdun" (russian for "old fat fart" )or I can do something about it. I plan on fighting-fighting til the weight of age stops me ,it will someday --BUT not today!
I've worked out since back in the 60's when I was 13, and all I wanted was big arms. I power lifted in the 70's ,tried bodybuilding in 80's,had a"Soloflex" in the 90's a "Bowflex" in 2000! None of that really got me where I wanted-sure I had some good lifts 300+ bench ,decent arms ,thick chest-but I never got where I wanted, where it made me satisfied. So I'd workout a while then I'd take months /years off. But now I look in the mirror I see more then a slightly overweight excollege athlete-I see a man with his back to the wall-I see old age staring him in the face and taunting him, and you know what ? It pi55es me off! Not today,not tomorrow-someday you'll win but not today-So I am fighting! The first step in my battle-I'm gonna train right (occaisonal beer and pizzaslice aside) and I will hold that day, keep it far in the future for as long as I can- Hey You Old AGE!! BRING IT!!!!!
