To start off, I am 29, 6'2", I live in Plano, TX and am a restaurant manager. I used to play soccer and basketball but somewhere down the road I traded it in for going out, Mexican and Italian food. It hasn't helped that working in a restaurant I can eat for free on what probably isn't the healthiest food out there. I had forgotten how much better it feels to be in great shape than to eat that fajita or slice of pizza.

At my heaviest I was pushing 280. I felt uncomfortable in clothes (nothing fitting right) and in my own body for that matter. At the age of 29 I was feeling like a 50 year old from just carrying around this extra weight. Finally, I decided something had to be done.

About May '09 I took it to the other extreme and lived off salads, fruit, and chicken. I also, started biking and running. The good news is that I was able to lose about 40 lbs in 1 1/2 to 2 months. That's not starving myself just eating ultra healthy. However, as most find out one can only eat so many salads before they have had enough.

I had seen the commercials for P90X and have always wanted to take the challenge. Currently I'm starting my 2nd week my weight is still around 240 and I'm already starting to feel much better. Thankfully, the crazy soreness from week 1 has somewhat subsided. I've been trying to keep my diet as healthy as possible and I'm supplementing with Amplified Wheybolic Extreme 60, and Mega Men's Sport multivitamin.

Though I'm new to the site, I like how entering in my workouts has kept me accountable. I feel guilty if I miss one. If anyone has any workout tips, pointers on getting the most out of this site, or just wants to say hi feel free to shoot me a message.
