For most of my life I have struggled with my weight. In the early 1990s I was diagnosed with Type II Diabetes. I initially changed my diet and lost a good amount of weight, but it eventually crept back. My goals now are get active, eat right, pushing play most days and to get off the medications!

I started my workouts in May 2008 after I fell into the social security "Doughnut Hole". The cost of my diabetic medication is quite expensive. I know I can control my diabetes through exercising and following a sensible eating plan. By working out with Beachbody, in one month’s time I have improved my blood sugar and finally got my A1C below 7.0 percent for the first time in 12 years. And as of January 1, 2009 I am already down 30 more pounds!!

While I am committing to keep myself accountable, I want to help and inspire others to become committed and accountable to adopt a healthy lifestyle. I want to help YOU get fit and age well!
