In late December of 2011, I stepped on a scale to find a very unkind number of 251 pounds and came to a major realization that it was time to make some BIG changes in my life. I had let myself go to far. In fact, this time the journey wasn’t just a matter losing weight — I realized that my health and fitness level had truly become “pathetic” and I needed to truly change my life.

I really began tracking what I was eating , learning for the first time in my life more about what calories and nutrition are in the food I am eating. I committed to making exercise a part of my life and getting more fit.

As of March 21st, I’ve lost 43 pounds and over 21.5 inches from my overall body measurements. And while the weight loss is indeed nice, I can actually say that the best part is that I am regaining my health.

The starting stats here are just a number on my Journey Into Health and Fitness and will change as I continue.
