My name is Heather and I will be 37 on March 1. I am a stay home mom of 2, one boy aged 5 and one girl aged 2. I have struggled with my weight and infertility issues for about 10 years now since I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. My doc. told me the weight would probably never come off and so far he has been right. I have struggled with my weight and infertility issues for about 10 years now since I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. My doc. told me the weight would probably never come off and so far he has been right. But this time,I am more determined than I have been about anything in my life. I have changed how I think about "diet" and am eating the most healthy I ever have. Mostly organic where possible, lots of fruits and veggies, chicken and fish. I have been on this plan since Jan. 1 and have lost 21 1/2 pounds to date, but without much visual change. I have been doing some very moderate exercise, but was ready to pick up the intensity a notch or two. So I have just received my Turbo Jam pack and have completed my first 3 days of workouts (I did both the Learn and Burn and the 20 min. workout 2 days and just the learn and burn on day 3). Ready to start seeing some serious results!

At the one year mark, I have lost 55 pounds, but have been stuck for a few months. I would like to kick off another 15 pounds or so. So, time to gear up the intensity again! I have found, though, that my new lifestyle is an easy one to stick to. I have totally changed how I think when it comes to food choices and exercise. I was able to make it through Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and multiple family birthdays without reverting to my old ways. I did not loose any over the holidays, but I was able to maintain my weight, which I think is a great deal! I allowed myself small, occasional indulgences, but never allowed it to get out of control. I consider myself a success at retraining my mind and body!
08-01-11 Ok, so last week I reached a goal I never even knew I would or could have when I first began this journey 3 1/2 years ago. And I certainly never believed I would achieve it. I hit the 70 lb loss mark!! I have not been this small since college. Now I have set for myself one last weight loss goal of 7 lbs. That will put me at my high school graduation weight. Not bad for turning 40 this year! I must say, I am proud of myself. I can not believe I have come this far, and been able to maintain my new lifestyle for so long. It is a lifestyle now. No longer am I on a diet. I can not believe the things I used to eat on a regular basis and how inactive I used to be. I like the new me and plan on staying like this till the end!
